Senior Master Goeckerman (7th Dan)
Ron began his Martial Arts training in the art of Tae Kwon Do in 1978 and received his 1st Degree Blackbelt under instructor Ed Donnelly. As he continued his training in Tae Kwon Do, Ron also began training under the now Late Master Instructor Stan Hart in the art of Shurite Kempo and Hikado, a systematic art of self defense specializing in joint manipulation, pressure points, takedowns, and controlling techniques. In November of 1984 Ron received his 2nd degree blackbelt and in 1987 his 3rd Degree. From 1983 to 1993 Ron was one of the chief Instructors at the Tae Kwon Do Karate Club in Northwood, Ohio. In 1990 he began training under Grandmaster Eugene Humesky (9th Dan), Founder of the Universal Tae Kwon Do Brotherhood, from Ann Arbor, Michigan and received his 4th Degree Master Blackbelt in 1992. One year later he opened his own Martial Arts School, Bay View Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts Academy. Under Grandmaster Humesky, Ron continued his training and attained his 5th Degree in 1996 and then his 6th Degree Senior Master Instructor certification in 2002.
In 2002 Ron was also recognized by the World Head of Sokeship Council in Orlando, Florida as Master Instructor of the Year in the art of Tae Kwon Do. Master Goeckerman also holds blackbelt certification from the World Tae Kwon Do Federation and World Chang Moo Kwan (Seoul, Korea), United States Tae Kwon Do Federation, and the International Tae Kwon Do Federation.
Senior Master Bodi (6th Dan)
Jason began his training in 1981 and achieved his 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in 1985 under his instructor Master Ron Goeckerman just before leaving for Marine Corps Boot camp. While in the Marines he operated his own school on base and at times studied several different systems including achieving 2nd Degree recommended in the ATA (American Tae Kwon Do Association) under Mr. Paul Leitzke in Havelock, North Carolina in 1987. After his service, he returned home to Toledo, Ohio and resumed his training with his instructor who then introduced him to Grand Master Eugene Humesky (founder of Universal Tae Kwon Do Brotherhood 9th Dan) where he eventually earned his 3rd 1993, 4th 1998 and 5th Degree Black Belt in 2002. In addition to his Tae Kwon Do training, Jason has been fortunate enough to train with the Late Master Stan Hart where he learned the art of Shurite Kempo and Hikado which emphasizes on joint locks, vital points and stand up grappling. Jason also holds a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Black Belt Chris Blanke.
Senior Master Cohen (5th Dan)
Michael began his training it Tae Kwon Do in the Pittsburgh Area in 1987 an the American Tae Kwon Do Club. His training was under current 6th Degree Master Lance Hough & 7th Degree Master Mark McCarthy of the All American Tae Kwon Do Federation. Michael earned his 1st Degree Black Belt in July 1991, his 2nd Degree Black Belt in September 1993 and his 3rd Degree Black Belt in February 1996.
Michael moved to the Toledo area in 2004 and studied under 7th Degree Michael Pierce of the Mid West Self Defense Arts Association and in November 2006 earned a 4th Degree Black Belt. After associating with Bay View Tae Kwon Do in 2012 – a more traditional Tae Kwon Do Program, he retested and was certified a 4th Degree in Tae Kwon Do by Senior Master Goeckerman and Bodi in May 2013.
Master Phillips (4th Dan)
Jeff began his training in 2002 with Senior Masters Goeckerman and Bodi. He received his 1st degree Black Belt in 2009, and his 2nd degree Black Belt in 2011, under Master Keith Hammack and Master Michael Pierce. In 2013, he received his 3rd degree Black Belt under Masters Goeckerman and Bodi. In addition to his Tae Kwon Do training, Mr Phillips has trained with various other arts, including Muso Jikiden Eishin-ryu Iaijutsu and Okinawan Kobudo. He also holds a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Brown Belt Jason Bodi and Black Belts Chris Blanke, Saulo and Xande Ribeiro.
